Three people were killed in a shooting near a party in Columbus County overnight.

<b>CHADBOURN, N.C.</b> — Three people were killed in a shooting near a party in Columbus County overnight.

Chadbourn police said shots were fired in a parking lot next to a building on Broadway Road around 3:45 a.m. A large party was in progress inside the building at the time of the shooting.

Three died and another person was injured. None of the people killed were identified by authorities.

Local authorities have asked the SBI to help investigate.
