— Corrections and law-enforcement officers in Richmond County were searching Monday for three inmates who escaped Sunday night from a minimum-security unit at Morrison Correctional Institution.

The three inmates were missing at an 11 p.m. count and were believed to have escaped the facility by scaling a razor wire fence. All three were serving sentences for non-violent property or drug crimes.

The inmates are:

  • Christopher Tadlock, 22, serving approximately 2½ years for larceny and breaking and entering vehicles
  • Jeffrey Winstead, 21, serving 13-16 months for attempted drug trafficking

Anyone who has seen the inmates or has information on their whereabouts is asked to call Morrison Correctional Institution at 910-281-3161.
