3 dead after murder-suicide near Charlotte
Police said David James Bright, 34, shot and killed the driver, Darlene Hardin, 57, and the front seat passenger, Benjamin Simmons, 65, before shooting and killing himself.

DALLAS, N.C. — Three people were found dead in a car on Monday afternoon after what authorities said was a murder-suicide.
Two people were shot in the car by a man before the man turned the gun on himself, according to the Gaston County Police Department.
Police said David James Bright, 34, shot and killed the driver, Darlene Hardin, 57, and the front seat passenger, Benjamin Simmons, 65, before shooting and killing himself.
Police have not said what Bright's relationship with Hardin and Simmons was.
The shooting happened on Robinson-Clemmer Road near Dallas, which is about a 30 minute drive from Charlotte.
