A 29-year-old man from Randleman has been arrested in connection to a woman's stabbing in Wake Forest on Monday.

Michael W. Keeling is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, attempted armed robbery, second-degree kidnapping and breaking and entering.

Keeling has several outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Officials say that Keeling was stopped while driving at the Market Shopping Center on Capital Boulevard. He left the traffic stop on foot and attempted to steal a woman's car on Durham Road. During the attempted robbery, officials say that a woman was stabbed.

The woman who was stabbed was transported to a local hospital, and officials have not released any information about her condition.

Authorities said that more charges are possible.

Wake Forest Police Chief Jeff Leonard said that Keeling's arrest was possible because of residents who were willing to work with the police and send tips.
