24-year-old mother, 7-month-old son die in Hoke County crash

Raeford, N.C. — A mom and her 7-month-old son died Thursday when the car they were driving in crashed into a log truck in Hoke County.
The wreck happened around 5:30 p.m. on N.C. Highway 211, about two miles west of Raeford, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
Troopers said 24-year-old Ashley Suggs Reza, who was driving the vehicle, crossed the center line and drove into the path of the log truck. The two vehicles collided, killing Suggs and her son.
The driver of the log truck was not injured.
