22-year-old charged with murder in shooting near Carolina Ale House off Falls of Neuse Road

A 22-year-old man was charged with murder in connection to a Friday night shooting that happened near Carolina Ale House off Falls of Neuse Road in Raleigh.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A 22-year-old man was charged with murder in connection to a Friday night shooting that happened near Carolina Ale House off Falls of Neuse Road in Raleigh.

The Raleigh Police Department found Jakem Ramiq Reed, 22, at around 11:30 p.m. suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

Devin Eugene Driscoll-Tillman was charged with murder.

The Raleigh Police Department did not release any information about a possible motive or what led to Reed's death.

WRAL's Breaking News Tracker was at the scene Friday night and saw crime scene tape wrapped around the restaurant. A witness said they heard several shots were fired at the restaurant and saw someone lying on the ground injured, possibly from gunfire.

Raleigh police did not confirm the shooting happened inside the restaurant but did provide a location that was nearby in a press release.
