EAGLE, COLO. — A minor league baseball player is accused of having 22 pounds of drugs hidden in the car he was driving.

Authorities in Colorado pulled over minor league baseball player Jesus Camargo-Corrales for speeding and swerving in and out of lanes. A police K-9, ‘Zane,’ was sniffing near the rear wheel well of the vehicle and alerted authorities to an area under the rear seat.

Inside a duffel bag, authorities found an estimated 21 pounds of meth and 1.2 pounds of oxycodone pills along with several baseball gloves and cleats.

Jesus Camargo-Corrales was arrested for carrying drugs in his car.

Camargo-Corrales is facing felony drug charges from the Eagle County Sheriff's Office.

There were two passengers in the car. Both were released after they said they had no knowledge of the drugs in the car.

Camargo-Corrales is 25 and signed a minor league contract with the Cubs in 2014. He played for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, South Bend Cubs and Eugene Emeralds.
