For NCHA, Health Equity Begins With Policy

Two of the biggest crises facing healthcare in North Carolina are equitable access and affordability. Health systems like the North Carolina Healthcare Association (NCHA) seek to solve these challenges by advocating for a North Carolina where high-quality healthcare is equitable and accessible for all. For NCHA, this starts with expanding Medicaid and passing the Healthcare Access and Stabilization Program (HASP). Through partnerships, communication, education and public policy, NCHA demonstrates how passing this legislation will expand patient access to healthcare and allow hospitals to focus on providing the best care — without worrying about how they’re going to pay for it.
