Broadway Series South presents shows at the Progress Energy Center for Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh. Many of their shows are family friendly, depending on the age of your child.

Yo Gabba Gabba! Live!: It's Time to Dance, a live version of the popular television show, is the series' exclusively family show. It stops in Raleigh on Nov. 1. It's said the show "will rock the preschool and young adult set when today’s hottest live show returns this fall. Enthusiastic fans of all ages have the opportunity to see the characters come to life on stage for a live show experience like no other." Shows are 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., Nov. 1. Tickets start at $28 a piece.

Other shows on the schedule that might appeal to kids include "Stomp," "A Christmas Story: The Musical," "Oliver!," and "Legally Blonde: The Musical."

I'm including this on our list of this season's other children's performances series across the region.
