GREENSBORO, N.C. — A 20-year-old man is in critical condition after an officer-involved shooting.
WXII reports Greensboro police officers responded to a burglary on Mandela Court on Thursday just before midnight.

According to officials, Aaron Nehemiah Turner, from Greensboro, shot at an officer and then that officer shot back at him.

Other officers at the scene gave medical assistance to Turner, who was taken into custody and transported to the hospital.

The officer was not injured, according to WXII, but taken to the hospital for an evaluation.

As departmental policy, the officer involved in this incident will be placed on administrative duty. An internal investigation will follow, and the Guilford County District Attorney will review the investigation.
