20-year-old Garner man shot, dies in parking lot of Durham Food Lion

A man died of a gunshot wound Saturday morning in the parking lot of a Food Lion in Durham, according to police.

DURHAM, N.C. — A man died of a gunshot wound Saturday morning in the parking lot of a Food Lion in Durham, according to police.

The shooting was reported in the 3000 block of Fayetteville Street, officials said. Police arrived to the scene at around 11 a.m. When officers arrived, they confirmed that Alexander Keith Hairston, 20, of Garner, had died from gunshot wounds.

Police were seen investigating the shooting in the parking lot of the Food Lion on Saturday morning.

No one has been charged in this shooting, officials said.

The shooting remains under investigation, and no other details were made available to the public.
