20-Year-Old Accused in 2 Dozen Vehicle Break-ins

Police arrested a 20-year-old Durham man suspected of breaking into around two dozen vehicles in the Pickett Road area in April.

DURHAM, N.C. — Police arrested a 20-year-old Durham man suspected of breaking into around two dozen vehicles in the Pickett Road area in April.

A caller told police that a man riding a bicycle had broken into a vehicle on Alderman Lane around 2:30 a.m. Sunday. A few minutes later, Officer D.L. Matthews stopped a man on a bike on Pickett Road.

The man – identified as Quinton Page, 20, of Chapel Hill Road – was carrying a backpack with stolen credit cards, cell phones, global-positioning satellite units and other items, Matthews said.

Page faces numerous charges of felony breaking and entering motor vehicles, felony and misdemeanor larceny and injury to property. He was also charged with one count each of possession of stolen property and possession of burglary tools. In
