2-year-old accidentally shoots himself at Johnston County home
A 2-year-old was shot Monday night, according to the Johnston County Sheriff's Office.
Posted — UpdatedFOUR OAKS, N.C. — A 2-year-old was shot Monday night, according to the Johnston County Sheriff's Office.
Around 9:30 p.m., deputies responded to a home on Brookside Lane in Four Oaks, where the toddler was being treated by his parents.
The toddler, who was alert, was taken to WakeMed in Raleigh and was listed in stable condition.
Family members said the boy was able to access the firearm inside the home and accidentally shot himself.
The incident is under investigation.
