2 tanker trucks collide, closing intersection of US 70, US 301

The intersection of U.S. Highway 70 and U.S. Highway 301 was closed Wednesday morning after two tanker trucks crashed.

SELMA, N.C. — The intersection of U.S. Highway 70 and U.S. Highway 301 was closed Wednesday morning after two tanker trucks crashed.

One truck hit the other from behind, Selma police said. Its driver was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

There was no spill of fuel or hazardous material.

An investigation is underway.

Drivers can avoid the intersection by using the U.S. 70 Bypass and Interstate 95 to East Anderson Street, at exit 98.
