State health officials reported that two people died from the flu last week, bringing the death toll to 172.

North Carolina health officials reported that two people died from the flu last week, bringing the statewide death toll this season to 172.
The N.C. Division of Public Health updated the data in a post on its website.
The official flu season began Sept. 30, 2018. It typically runs through May.
