<b>CARY, N.C.</b> — Two people were injured Wednesday in a head-on crash in Cary.

Around 12:30 a.m., officers with the Cary Police Department responded to a crash on U.S. Highway 1 near Tryon Road.

Police say a white SUV was traveling south when it left the roadway and entered the northbound lanes, hitting a silver car head-on.

Two adults were transported to WakeMed with injuries.

Officials said the extent of their injuries is unknown.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
