FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. — A man and a woman have been arrested in a shooting at a Sheetz in Fuquay-Varina on Sept. 6, police said Saturday, and another man is wanted.

Fuquay-Varina police said two men confronted a man at a gas pump around 5 a.m. Sept. 6 and demanded his car.

When the man refused their demands, he was shot.

A woman was traveling with the men, police said, and the three left the scene together in a Nissan truck.

Demetrius Darrel Reid, 27, and Larrodda Denis Sims, 24, both of Durham, were charged with attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury.

Reid and Sims were arrested Friday night in Durham and were held in the Wake County jail.

Authorities obtained arrest warrants for Damian Wayne Watson, 19, of Henderson, for attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury.

Police said Watson was wanted as of Saturday morning.

The investigation is ongoing, and more charges are expected, authorities said.

The victim was treated for his injuries and released this week.
