Cary, N.C. — Two people face charges in a series of thefts in Cary.
Authorities said Thomas Smith, 43, and Shiela Patterson, 42, tried to steal $974 worth of beer, along with steaks, pork chops and other food products.
Investigators said the thefts occurred April 25 at the Lowes Food store near the intersection of Kildaire Farm and Ten Ten roads.
