Preparing future leaders of tomorrow

EVOLVE Mentoring, serves youth and young adults of color in the Triangle area through direct service and collaborations with community-focused organizations.

Founded in 2011, EVOLVE Mentoring, serves youth and young adults of color in the Triangle area through direct service and collaborations with community-focused organizations. The nonprofit helps BIPOC youth “with their transition to holistic adulthood” through life skills training and mentoring. Services are delivered by the organization and by way of collaborations with partner organizations.

In 2018, EVOLVE answered the call to lead the My Brother’s & Sister’s Keeper (MBSK) initiative in Wake County. Originally called My Brother’s Keeper, the initiative was launched by President Barack Obama in 2014 to address opportunity gaps faced by young men of color. MBSK of Wake County works to ensure that all young people can reach their full potential and have access to a more equitable life by supporting organizations leading the charge for forward change and through life skills training for youth, young adults and families.

Since its launch, EVOLVE has served thousands of young men and women “through partnerships that foster collective impact.” Its goal is to bring back the community mentality that says, “It takes a village”.
