19-year-old in critical condition after shooting in Lumberton

Lumberton police are investigating a shooting that sent a 19-year-old to the hospital with serious injuries.

LUMBERTON, N.C. — Lumberton police are investigating a shooting that sent a 19-year-old to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police said they responded at around 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday to a call of a person shot who was at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. Officers found Ronnie Williams, Jr., 19, had been shot while riding in a vehicle with Corinthians Clark, 20. Williams was shot somewhere on Roberts Avenue between the True Value and Elizabethtown Road, police said.

Clark was grazed by the bullet and was not seriously injured. Clark was listed in critical condition.
