FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The 1897 Poe House is reopening for tours just in time for the holiday season.

The house reopens for guided tours on Nov. 12, museum officials announced Thursday.

Guests must check in at the Museum of the Cape Fear lobby to sign up for tours. Masks are required and tours are limited to 10 people at a time. Tours are offered from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.

The 1897 Poe House, which is part of the Museum of the Cape Fear Historical Complex, will be decorated for the holidays from Nov. 28 through Jan. 9, 2021. The Poe House and Museum of the Cape Fear are closed Nov. 26 and 27 for Thanksgiving.

The annual Holiday Jubilee at 1897 Poe House will be held Dec. 6 from 1 to 4 p.m. The event will include a concert by the Coventry Carolers, who will perform seasonal Victorian Christmas songs. Visitors are being asked to bring their own chairs, wear a mask and remain socially distant. Admission to the concert is free.
