18-year-old woman charged with murder after stabbing outside Wilson convenience store

Wilson Police on Friday arrested 18-year-old Tajahya Danyale Applewhite and charged her with murder in connection with the stabbing Monday night of another young woman outside a convenience store.

WILSON, N.C. — Wilson Police on Friday arrested 18-year-old Tajahya Danyale Applewhite and charged her with murder in connection with the stabbing Monday night of another young woman outside a convenience store.

Police said they were called to the Sammy Super Mart, where they found a crowd of people in the parking lot and Trinity Williams on the ground. She had been stabbed to death.

"She just didn't deserve to be gone," said Zhaniyah Pitt. "I don't know how to cope without her being here, because she was all I had."

Wilson police ask anyone with information about the crime to call Crime Stoppers at 252-243-2255.
