18-year-old arrested for assaulting school employee in Johnston County
The Johnston County Sheriff's Office confirmed that Ethan Garcia-Contrera was arrested on May 31.

An 18-year-old was arrested and charged after assaulting a school employee in Johnston County.
The Johnston County Sheriff's Office confirmed that Ethan Garcia-Contrera was arrested on May 31.
The sheriff's office said he was released on bond that same day. The bond amount was not provided.
He is facing the following seven charges:
- Assaulting a school employee (or volunteer)
- Weapons on an educational property -- not a gun
- Possession of a controlled substance
- Possession of paraphernalia
- Possession with intent to sell
- Maintaining a controlled substance in a vehicle or dwelling
- Being within 1,000 feet of the property
It is not known when Garcia-Contrera is scheduled to appear in court.
