One goat in South Carolina will now be able to walk around the farm a bit easier thanks to a new prosthetic hoof.



Aurora. There she is. So your head popping up at the sound of her name, come on Aurora. Princess Aurora happily makes her way through the field at Split Creek Farm. She's two years old and she's pretty spoiled but for Arora life didn't start easy when she was born. Her mother uh was the first time mom and she didn't really know how to care for Aurora and she cleaned her rather aggressively and uh damaged her hoof. Arora spent the first hours of her life in surgery and what we came out with was just a partial hoof and we don't have growth on one side of her hoof as a result of that injury. But Arora learned to adapt at first it was very sore so she couldn't walk on it and then over time she learned to walk on it, but she does compensate so she throws her leg a little bit further because it doesn't have a good platform to help Arora with walking the farm, went to work looking for a solution and at the end of 2021 Arora was fitted for her first prosthetic hook thanks to a veterinarian at the University of florida. So she didn't really jump and play and kick like you normally see goats. But once she got that prosthetic and got used to it and understood she had a platform, we started to see Aurora run, she would jump and play, she would chase other goats um, and do goat things now two years old. Arora has grown and needs a new prosthetic. What we do is work with the vet to do some 33 D imaging to make sure that everything aligns correctly and then we um use her other foot and create the exact same hoof structure on this hook. So he will trim all of this back when he gets to her, gets to see her in a few weeks and he will create a prosthetic that goes right on here. Just a girl in her goat, Sandra Kaufman, the co owner of the farm, and Arora will travel to florida at the end of the month. We're sort of at a point right now where we think if we put one more prosthetic on and we can get that damaged side of the hoof to grow a little bit more and just maintain it that she could have a semblance of a quasi normal hoof. Once we run this next cycle with the goal that one day, Princess Aurora will be running through the field without her prosthetic.

Wow, this is the picture he chose of Tamari and then there's a signature right there at first, like that little streak. What what's up Julian? Uh, this video from a mari cooper, I just want to wish you godspeed on your recovery signature. He was like, He went from like 1- 100 like his face lit up. It was insane. I feel like it's somewhere or put it on. I feel like I'm special because I got the signature and the leg is, is really cool. Now Julian is in training and inspiring others. He rubs off. Good energy on everyone and I love that about him. So you're pretty special. Yeah. I don't feel it's so special about me. Honestly, everyone sees what's so special about him. A Vermont skydiver who lost his prosthetic leg during a jump has it back, thanks to a farmer who kept an eye out for it and spotted it in a soybean field.

I didn't even know until moments before the landing that I've lost the leg. I think my adrenaline and everything was up so high that I never realized it was gone until last minute, which is good because it didn't ruin my dive. Having me filled with all kinds of anxiety about losing. The prosthetic teams landed on this side. We're guessing. But he had seen the post on Facebook, said he felt obligated to help a fellow American and just got up and started walking this soybean fields. I'm starting to get emotional about. Um, just started walking this soybean fields until he had found the leg. It's very grateful that we were able to find it without running it over with a machine or something this fall during harvest. Or, God forbid, the combine sucked it up and it would have destroyed it. I have the best ex wife in the world. She had bought me a gift certificate to skydive for Christmas last year, Um, and because Kobe it everything, I wasn't able to book it until recently, so I jumped right on it. As soon as they open their books up, Um, the dive was amazing. I mean, it was everything I expected have recently been diagnosed with end stage kidney failure. And, ah, especially things like the skydivers. Me just trying to get a bunch of stuff crossed off the bucket list. Somebody was really watching over me. You know, somebody really waas through this hole in China thing to not lose faith in humanity. There's still a lot of a lot of really good people, a lot of really good people and, uh, you know, just absolute dates. People do the right things. I'm sorry.

Chloe Newman has been receiving prosthetic services at Shiners Hospital in Springfield, Massachusetts, for her entire life. She was born with a missing limb and has had multiple prosthesis fittings at Shriners. After finding out that Mattel is making a Barbie with a prosthetic leg, Chloe asked for donations of the doll, Barbie Fashionistas #121, on Facebook. Her post quickly went viral, and caught the attention of Mattel.

'Who loses a leg, twice?'

During Saturday's "World's Strongest Man" competition on Manatee Beach, somebody found a rubber, prosthetic ear in the sand. They turned it into the Holmes Beach Police Department, who kept it for a few days, hoping the owner would claim it.
