Happy weekend! Here’s what’s happening on the family fun front. As always, check WRAL.com’s Out & About calendar for more ideas.

We do have a couple of roundups to be aware of ...

Mother-son, father-daughter and family dances, including Marbles' Family Heart Hop, are this weekend - or on a weekend coming up. Check our full list of dances for details.
And Black History Month is this month. We have the details about nine events that are especially family friendly, including several this weekend. They include an interactive picture book presentation in Raleigh, an African American Highlights Tour and concert from storyteller Donna Washington at the NC Museum of History, an interactive black history event in Durham and free performances in Wake Forest.

Raleigh

Corteo by Cirque Du Soleil is at the PNC Arena Thursday through Sunday. Tickets are available, but it looks like they start around $65 a piece. The 51-member cast will perform all manner of acrobatics, song and dance.
The massive Kids Exchange is open to the public this Friday through Sunday at the NC State Fairgrounds. The children's consignment sale stretches across two building and offers pretty much everything you need to cloth and entertain kids. One note: The sale organizers ask shoppers to pre-register via Eventbrite. It's free.
Go for a pottery treasure hunt along the Falls Lake section of the NC Mountains-to-Sea Trail in Wake and Durham counties. A Raleigh artist has created hearts and stars which will be hidden along the trails on Sunday. The event is organized by Friends of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail.

Durham

The Museum of Life and Science has a month of activities that highlight the nanoscale world and nanoscience engineering. Activities are free with admission.

Disney DCappella hits the Durham Performing Arts Center for a show at 7:30 p.m., Saturday. Tickets start around $40.

Apex

The Triangle Russian Festival is 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, at the Halle Cultural Arts Center. The day includes displays of Russian culture and performances, along with folk games, dances and workshops for kids and adults. Traditional Russian food and dessert will be on sale. Tickets for the performances, which are scheduled for noon and 5 p.m., are $10 and $8 for kids 16 and under.

Hillsborough

The Burwell School will host a Sweetheart Tea at 3 p.m., Saturday. Tickets are $25 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under. Tea includes tea sandwiches, mini cupcakes and other seasonal treats. After the tea, kids can make Valentine's Day crafts. Call ahead to make sure tickets are still available.

New Bern

If you're ready for a bit of a road trip, Tryon Palace will host a Free Day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday. Explore 16 acres of gardens; play historic games; and make fun crafts to take home. Visit the North Carolina History Center to see the Regional History Center, the Barbour Boats Exhibit, and the "Story of B.B.Q. in N.C." exhibits. The Tryon Palace gardens, grounds, and North Carolina History Center will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Activities, crafts, and historic buildings will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. New Bern is about two hours from Raleigh.
