13-year-old crashes car into Durham apartment complex
A 13-year-old accidentally hit the gas pedal while he was trying to park a car at Bay Creek Apartments in Durham on Monday evening.
Posted — UpdatedDURHAM, N.C. — A 13-year-old accidentally hit the gas pedal while he was trying to park a car at Bay Creek Apartments in Durham on Monday evening.
According to police, the crash happened at 1309 Hudson Ave.
"Instead of clicking the brake, I hit the gas. So, I went full speed into the house," Brallan Rodriguez said.
His mom was in the living room when he ran into it.
Three apartments were damaged in the crash, police said.
One person was taken to an area hospital, police said. No one was seriously injured.
