12-year-old dies days after being shot in the head at Durham apartment complex
Neighbors said a 12-year-old boy was shot in the head and taken to the hospital.

DURHAM, N.C. — A family member has confirmed a 12-year-old boy shot in the head in Durham last week died Monday afternoon.
The victim was Tyvien McLean. He was a student at Lowe's Grove Middle School, according to his aunt.
The incident happened just before 2:30 a.m. on July 15, at an apartment complex at 3020 E. Weaver Street., off Cornwallis Road.
An adult was also shot and drove to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries, police said.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
