11-year-old girl fights off kidnapper in chilling video
A disturbing video clip out of Florida shows an 11-year-old girl fight off a man who tried to kidnap her at a bus stop.
Posted — UpdatedThe girl appears to be sitting in a patch of grass next to a road when a man in a white SUV gets out of the vehicle and runs towards her, grabbing her. The girl fought back and was able to break free, eventually running to her parents who called law enforcement.
The girl told authorities the man, who had a knife on him during the incident, had approached her before.
Jared Paul Stanga was charged with attempted kidnapping, aggravated assault with a knife and simple battery.
"She fought and she fought and she fought until finally, she was able to break free," said Escambia County Sheriff Chip Simmons. "The victim was playing with blue slime as a toy...the suspect, when we caught him, had blue slime all over his own arms."
The girl is at home safe with her parents.
