Things to do with your kids in Durham

Durham Central Park Food Truck Rodeo (The Pavilion at Durham Central Park, 401 Foster Street, Durham) - Durham Central Park will hold a food truck rodeo on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. It is their first food truck rodeo in more than a year and a half. There will be less trucks than previous events. Look for about 25 trucks to be out there in addition to beer and cider options.
Durham Bulls Fall Fan Fest (Durham Bulls Athletic Park, 409 Blackwell St., Durham) - The Durham Bulls will host a free fan fest this Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. You can play catch on the field, enjoy hayrides and even take batting practice. There will also be inflatables in the outfield. Admission is free, however fans must RSVP online and claim a ticket before the event in order to attend.
Show me snakes reptile & exotics show (Durham, NC) (Durham Armory, 220 Foster St, Durham) - Learn about reptiles and shop for feeders and supplies at this event on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Durham Armory. This family-friendly event is geared to educate and introduce people to reptiles and exotic animals.

Things to do with your kids in Raleigh

Party with the Pugs (NC State Fairgrounds - Holshouser Building, 1025 Blue Ridge Rd, Raleigh) - Head to the N.C. State Fairgrounds on Sunday to party with the pugs! This fundraiser for Pawsitively Pugs Rescue is from noon to 4 p.m. and will include a DJ, a pet photographer and the "running of the pugs." Admission is $5.
Darwin Days (N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences, 11 West Jones Street, Raleigh) - Learn about Darwin and what his theories of natural selection have done for the world of science, research and education. Meet some of the scientists who are continuing his work, and learn how Darwin's (and others') theories are being applied in cutting-edge research. The N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences hosts this event on Saturday in the plaza in front of the museum. There will be activities and crafts.
Hello Kitty Cafe Truck returns to Raleigh this weekend - The Hello Kitty Cafe Truck, which was a huge hit when it stopped in Raleigh in 2018 and 2019, is coming back. It is back on Saturday at Triangle Town Center.

Family Fun Fest (Stable Life, 1034 Tarboro Road, Youngsville) - Stable Life in Youngsville will host this family fun fest on Sunday at 2 p.m. There will be chances to ride horses, crafts, hot dogs and games. Admission is $15 per person. Proceeds will be used to purchase new lesson horses and for equine medical needs. ​
