DURHAM, N.C. — Police were searching for fifth suspect in the March 28 robbery and beating of a 54-year-old man on Morgan Street. Four teenaged suspects were arrested two days later after the robbery of a woman a block from police headquarters.

Tremain Antoine Jones, 30, of Grace Drive, is wanted for common-law robbery.

The victim said Jones and several others followed him as he walked toward West Village around 8:40 p.m. He ran across the street, but the men ran after him, police said. They punched the victim several times and took his wallet, which contained cash and documents.

Anyone with information on Jones’ whereabouts is asked to call Investigator C.C. Green at 919-560-4406, ext. 271 or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.

Brandon James Still, 16, of Guthrie Avenue; Abdul Jamal Winstead, 17, of Burch Avenue; Nelson Taurin Bullock, 17, of Ridgeway Avenue; and Reggie Teyon Armstrong, 17, of Burch Avenue have been arrested and charged with two counts of robbery.

The second robbery charge stems from the theft of a cell phone from a 51-year-old woman.

She flagged down K-9 Officer T.M. Tanner as he left police headquarters on West Chapel Hill Street around 8:10 p.m. March 30. She said she had just been robbed and pointed to four teens running on Duke Street.

Tanner and his K-9 Sherlock caught Armstrong after a brief foot chase. Officers arrested the other three teens on Chapel Hill Street near the Durham Freeway entrance.

Armstrong has also been charged in the robbery and beating of a second man on Morgan Street on March 28.

The 51-year-old victim told police Armstrong borrowed his cell phone and walked away it. When the man tried to get it back, he was attacked from behind and knocked unconscious, police said. Robbers also took his cash.
