Two arrested after man shot, killed at New Bern Ave. gas station in Raleigh

A 33-year-old man has died following a Tuesday afternoon shooting a gas station off New Bern Avenue in Raleigh.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A 33-year-old man has died following a Tuesday afternoon shooting a gas station off New Bern Avenue in Raleigh.

Hurebaves Ransom Williams was found suffering from a gunshot wound just before 1:30 p.m. in the 3700 block of New Bern Avenue.

Police tape and multiple police vehicles were visible in the parking lot of the Exxon gas station in front of the Microtel Inn & Suites.

Williams was taken to the hospital, where he died of his injuries.

Police announced Thursday Trayvon Tarique Reams, 18, was charged with murder.

Police announced Thursday Trayvon Tarique Reams, 18, was charged with murder, and Tia Asia Kemp, 18, was charged with accessory after the fact in connection with the death of Williams. Both were in custody at the Wake County Detention Center.
