1 killed, 1 wounded in Dunn shootings
Two people were shot in Dunn on Monday afternoon, and one of the victims died, police said.
Posted — UpdatedDUNN, N.C. — Two people were shot in Dunn on Monday afternoon, and one of the victims died, police said.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting at 803 N. King Ave. around 3:45 p.m., police said. One person was found with a gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital, where the victim was pronounced dead.
Shortly afterward, police learned another person was being treated at a hospital for a gunshot wound in the abdomen.
Both incidents appear to be related, police said, and they don't appear to be random.
