Teen killed in Fayetteville crash

A Fayetteville teenager was killed early Sunday in a multi-vehicle crash, police said.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville teenager was killed early Sunday in a multi-vehicle crash, police said.

Several vehicles were headed toward Bragg Boulevard on Santa Fe Drive shortly before 2:30 a.m. when the crash occurred near Coalition Boulevard, police said. Rayshawn Patrick Daniels, 17, died when the GMC Suv he was in ran off the road.

The other people in the GMC, Brent Henry, 24, Orionte Bennett, 21, John Brown, 21, Dantovious Miles, 16 and an unidentified 15-year-old, were taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police identified the driver of a second vehicle involved in the crash as Fabiola Lenis Rodriguez, 55, of Fayetteville.

All lanes of Santa Fe Drive between the All American Expressway and Bragg Boulevard were closed for some time as police investigated the crash and cleared up the wreckage.

The crash remains under investigation.
