1 dead, 2 injured after shooting at birthday party in Robeson County

A man was killed and two other men were injured in a shooting at a birthday party, the Robeson County Sheriff's Office said Saturday.

RED SPRINGS, N.C. — A man was killed and two other men were injured in a shooting at a birthday party, the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office said Saturday.

Deputies arrived on Folly Drive in Red Springs around 4:40 a.m. and found a man dead in a front yard.

While deputies were investigating, two men arrived at Southeastern Medical Center in separate vehicles with injuries, including gunshot wounds. They were transferred to a different hospital for treatment.

One man was in critical condition. The other man was in stable condition.

Witnesses told investigators at least 50 people were at the birthday party when the shooting happened, the sheriff’s office said.
