Raleigh, N.C. — If you prefer mild, cloudy weather over cold, sunny days, the weekend looks ideal.
According to WRAL meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner, with a high of 51 degrees, Thursday will still be cold, but it will be warmer than Wednesday.
"It's chilly for this time of year, but our afternoon highs are warmer than yesterday," said Gardner.
Gardner said the warming trend will continue as the weekend nears, with highs in the low 60s for Friday and Saturday and the low 70s for Sunday.
Friday will be partly cloudy with a chance for some light rain before the chance for precipitation ramps up Saturday.
According to Gardner, though Saturday will see a 50 percent chance for rain, the day won't be a washout.
The rain should be out of the way by the time unseasonably warm temperatures roll in for Sunday.
Monday will also be mild and cloudy, with highs in the mid 60s.
