GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Goldsboro police believe an armed robber, on the run for more than a month, has struck again.

Investigators said Tuesday that a man with a sawed-off shotgun robbed The Pantry at 600 Spence Ave. late Monday night.

That makes nine similar convenience store robberies in a little more than a month. Five others occurred in Goldsboro, three others in Wayne County.

In each case, the robber demands cash and Newport cigarettes.

The Goldsboro Police Department and Wayne County Sheriff's Office are working together in the investigation.

Anyone with information about the robberies was asked to call police at 919-705-6572 or deputies at 919-731-1481.
