Onslow County, N.C. — Someone stole a construction trailer from a Habitat for Humanity construction site in Onslow County, authorities said.
Major Chris Thomas with the Onslow County Sheriff's Office said that the tool trailer was found stolen outside of Maysville.
Habitat for Humanity said the 12-foot long white trailer had all their ladders, saws, hammers and other construction tools inside.
The woman who will eventually move into the home, a mom with two kids, told WITN News that it would take someone "pretty low" to take from a charity that's trying to do good for the community.
The Habitat site manager said it's believed the trailer was taken overnight and they found it gone around 7:45 a.m. Tuesday.
The theft didn't stop volunteers who showed up to work on the house this morning. They went home and came back with their own tools so work could continue on the home.
