'Armed and dangerous' man wanted in domestic assault

Fayetteville police say they are looking for an "armed and dangerous" man who is suspected of breaking his ex-girlfriend's jaw.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police say they are looking for an "armed and dangerous" man who is suspected of breaking his ex-girlfriend's jaw.

Police said that Brandon Rashawn Maddox, 25, broke into his ex-girlfriend's home and assaulted her, breaking her jaw in four places and knocking out three teeth.

Maddox drives a gray Dodge Magnum with fictitious tags and is known to frequent the areas of Rulnick Street and Bostian Drive. Police said that he has a police radio and has made statements that he won't got back to jail without a fight.

Anyone who sees Maddox or has information about his whereabouts should call 911 or Fayetteville police at 910-433-1856.

Maddox has spent nearly 4½ years of the past seven in prison and was most recently released in February, according to state Department of Correction records.

DOC records show that he has about two dozen convictions, including assault with a deadly weapon, intimidating witnesses and numerous fraud, larceny and breaking-and-entering offenses.
