Zoo free to veterans, active duty service members Friday
Active duty, retired and reserve members of the United States Armed Forces showing a valid military ID will be admitted free. Up to six of their guests will receive $2 off the standard price of admission.

On Friday, Veterans Day, the N.C. Zoo will be free to veterans and active duty military service members.
Active duty, retired and reserve members of the United States Armed Forces showing a valid military ID will be admitted free while up to six of their guests will receive $2 off the standard price of admission to the zoo.
General admission tickets to the zoo in Asheboro, about 90 minutes from the Triangle, are $11 for kids ages 3 to 12; $13 for seniors over age 62; and $15 for adults.
