— A Zebulon man was arrested Friday in connection to the distribution of child pornography.

Samuel Eugene Dabbs, 54, of 4717 Pearces Road, was charged with five counts of felony second-degree exploitation of a minor and five counts of felony third-degree exploitation of a minor.

Zebulon police said that Dabbs’ arrest came as the result of a three-month undercover investigation that began after a complaint that Dabbs allegedly offered to participate in the distribution of child pornography. During the investigation, Dabbs shared child pornography with a detective from the Zebulon Police Department Internet Crimes against Children Task Force.

Dabbs was being held at the Wake County Jail under $125,000 secured bond.
