— A Zebulon man died in a wreck Sunday in Wayne County.

Robert Herndon, 48, died when he crashed on Red Hill Road, near Eureka, authorities said.

Troopers say he crossed the center line, hit a bridge railing, overturned and ended up in a ditch. He was not wearing his seat belt, investigators said.

No one reported the wreck until about 10 hours after it happened.

Weren't police on patrol? or were they too busy at "license" checks? There is no reason someone should wreck and not be found for over 10 hours.
