Zebulon Clerk Shot in Robbery

Zebulon, N.C. — Police were searching Monday for three Hispanic men in connection with a Sunday night convenience store robbery.
The men, all brandishing handguns and wearing dark clothing and clear masks over their faces, entered La Campana, at 1701 N. Arendell Ave., at about 9 p.m., police said. The men struggled with the clerk, who was shot three times.
None of the injuries was life-threatening, police said.
The men might have left the area in a dark-colored pickup headed south on Arendell Avenue, police said.
The first gunman was described as 18 to 24 years old, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 170 pounds, wearing dark work pants, a long-sleeve blue work shirt and a dark toboggan with a small bill on the front.
The second gunman was described as 18 to 24 years old, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 180 pounds, wearing a dark, short-sleeve T-shirt, dark work pants and a dark-colored baseball-style cap.
The third gunman was described as 18 to 24 years old, about 5 feet, 7 inches tall and 160 pounds, wearing dark pants, a black hooded sweatshirt with a tan liner inside the hood.
