Yoga for Kids: Calming down the evening witching hour
When the kids are hungry and everybody is exhausted, Rachel Manetti, a mom of two and instructor at StudioVIBE, has a way to help herself and her kids stay calm.
Posted — UpdatedLike lots of us out there, Rachel Manetti is well aware of the evening witching hour.
It comes up around 5 p.m. as dinner prep and nighttime rituals begin. The kids are hungry and everybody is exhausted.
"Things start to go haywire in the house and everyone tries to stay calm and it just doesn't happen," she said of those difficult early evenings.
Along with her three-year-old son John, she takes us through her evening breathing ritual and another exercise that helps calm them all down.
