Wrightsville Beach approves earlier Sunday alcohol sales

Wrightsville Beach aldermen on Monday voted unanimously to approve the earlier sale of alcohol on Sundays following North Carolina's passage of Senate Bill 155, the so-called Brunch Bill.

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, N.C. — Wrightsville Beach aldermen on Monday voted unanimously to approve the earlier sale of alcohol on Sundays following North Carolina's passage of Senate Bill 155, the so-called Brunch Bill.

NBC affiliate WECT reported that Wrightsville Beach establishments, including restaurants, can begin selling alcohol at 10 a.m. as early as this coming Sunday. Before the Brunch Bill, alcohol could not be sold before noon.

Raleigh and Carborro have approved the earlier sales of alcohol on Sundays.
