KENLY, N.C. — All lanes of Interstate 95 southbound were closed for about two hours Monday as rescue crews and law enforcement responded to a wreck in which a vehicle ran off the road.

A 12-mile stretch of highway, between Exit 119 (U.S. Highway 264) and Exit 107 (U.S. Highway 301) was closed and traffic backed up for miles at about noon.

The lanes were re-opened by 1:30 p.m., but the back-up took longer to unwind.
