Wreck ties up traffic west of Wilmington
Brunswick County officials closed the U.S. 421 exit ramp and the right lane of U.S. Highway 74/76 headed west from Wilmington.
Posted — UpdatedWILMINGTON, N.C. — A wreck at the intersection of U.S. Highway 421 and U.S. Highway 74/76 had traffic blocked headed into Wilmington Tuesday afternoon.
A tractor-trailer spilled its load onto the roadway as it exited into the westbound lane of U.S. Highway 74/76 from U.S. 421 South.
Brunswick County officials closed the U.S. 421 exit ramp and the right lane of U.S. 74/76 headed west from Wilmington.
Travelers were urged to avoid the area if possible, and to expect delays.
