If they REDUCED the speed around Raleigh to 50 and enforced it these accidents would stop. Other large cities have safe Zones around and thru on the Interstates 50 mph,, all trucks run the right lane and you very seldome see anyone in the left passing lane. It works been there seen it done it.

No it wouldn't, this accident happened in Morrisville on a four lane interstate not a beltline around the city. The proximity of the cities in the Triangle would require this proposal to start at the 85/40 split and extend to the johnston county line. With today's vehicles and attentive drivers 65 and 60 mph on our interstates is not a problem. Please don't suggest this ever again, group punishment is never a solution.

You think reducing the speed will help? These fools on 40 dont even obey the current speed. There's no common courtesy on that road, or many others I've seen...just I'm in a hurry and I dont care about you. I cant count how many near misses I've had and even been tboned because someone else didnt want to care about right of way. I dont care if I had a vehicle that was paid off, you HAVE to have collision insurance around these fools!
