KNIGHTDALE, N.C. — One person died Monday morning when a Stock Building Supply tractor-trailer truck overturned on westbound U.S. Highway 64 east of the Rolesville exit.

A spokesman for the North Carolina State Highway Patrol said the driver of the truck, Robert Earl Faison, 61, of 7916 New Sandy Hill Church Road in Bailey, died. He was the only one in the truck.

Troopers said the truck ran off the road to the right, struck some trees and flipped on its side, pinning the Faison inside.

Representatives of the Raleigh-based company arrived at the scene of the wreck and consulted with state troopers.

A woman at company headquarters said, "We are very upset about this tragedy," but did not offer additional details.
