WRAL's Elizabeth Gardner welcomes baby boy

WRAL has welcomed a new addition to its family.

Meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner gave birth to a baby boy Thursday morning. Both baby and mom are doing fine.

Max was born just after 11 a.m. and weighed 7 pounds. He is 19 ¾ inches long.

Elizabeth and her husband, Tripp, also have a daughter, Elizabeth Reese, who was born in October 2005.
