WRAL anchor/reporter Sloane Heffernan and her husband welcomed a baby girl on Tuesday. In an e-mail to the newsroom, she wrote: "IT'S A GIRL!!!! Yipee!!! 8lbs 4oz!!"
She and her husband are still trying to decide on a name. I'll post it here as soon as I find out. Anchor Gerald Owens has suggested "Geraldine" :)
Sloane told me last week that she didn't know the sex of her baby.
"We don't know what we are having. We have two boys who are hoping for another brother. I just pray for a healthy baby, but I think a little pink in my life would be nice:-)"
Looks like she got her wish :) Congrats to Sloane and her family!
